This is just a note to explain why there's no weekly Entertainment article this week. A strain of influenza has made concentrating on reading things impossible, so hopefully things'll be better by the next weekend.

Notification 6

Today, the 27th of May 2014, marks the 2nd anniversary of Tapejara blog!

That's 292 blog posts; ~14,500 blog hits; ~1200 tumblr posts; and ~106,000 YouTube hits... so far.
This time last year, i'd had ~4,500 hits; and ~600 tumblr posts. Onward and upward, then... :-D

You might have noticed a bit of a reshuffle, on my blog page - it's now easier to find my mini-essays, under the 'Mini-Essay Catalogue' tab - and there's a link to my new YouTube channel, where i intend to put self-made content. That does imply that it doesn't currently have anything on it...and that's currently true; but it will... when i get around to it :-D

Notification 5

Here's an apology for not being around for the last few weeks. I try to be consistent by at least posting an Entertainment article every week, but unfortunately i haven't been able to do even that, because... well, no computer.

It completely broke. And so, no work, no news, no essays, no nuffink! Bastard....

On the plus side (for me, at least) i seem to have passed 6000 hits, which means i apparently get more pageviews when i don't post anything than when i do! Weird.... I'll be back and active as soon as the data is recovered - i'm not starting from scratch, LOL - so, hopefully, 'see you soon' :-)

Notification 4 - Structure and Feeding

Hi guys!

You will probably have noticed, if you're familiar with this blog, that there haven't been many articles under any category other than 'Mini-Essays' and 'Entertainment', for several months.

I have, in fact, still been reading things that i would love to pass on to you, the wonderful public of the World Wide Web. And you might have noticed me posting a fair few things on Tumblr, and adding to playlists on YouTube. They're just easier than finishing off articles for the blog.... this blog.

In future, there will be no return to last year's pattern of a weekly article under every category - it put me under too much pressure to find something worth telling, for every category, every week.

Instead, i'm going to 'stockpile' things that are worth passing on, and when i've got enough to make a full post with, an article will appear under that heading. This is what i've done with the latest Pseudoscience article, as an example.

'Pseudoscience stuff from the period 28/1 - 21/6/13'

This means some sections will be 'articled' more than others, but at least they will be there - i can blog a lot more casually, if i know i don't have to worry too much about timing - i can just leave it a week, and add a couple more stories in.

You might also have noticed that i've added a link to the Atom feed, under "About Me".

Or you can go to the bottom of the page and click there.

I case you don't know how Feeds work: You'll get a bookmark folder (in Firefox, at least), in which a new bookmark will appear, every time a new post does. This makes it easier to follow blogs, for their new articles. Try it!

Notification 3 - Anniversary 1

Today, the 27th of May 2013, marks the 1st anniversary of Tapejara blog, and i notice i've passed 4500 hits! So with 232 blog posts and ~600 tumblr posts on the board, i thought i'd mark the occasion with an article round-up and some pictures of my family.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have read my posts, from the bottom of my heart, as well as those of you who've read them from somewhere else... heck, i'll thank you from even further down... from the heart of my bottom!
